Advertisment Analysis

This is an advertisement for DentaStix, and it is a picture of a dog holding its tongue out and a bird lying in its cage, appearing to be dead. The ad uses tone and purpose to emphasize the need to buy DentaStix to cure your dog's bad breath.
The tone of the ad is humor. The bird, posed in a dramatic way, has a very comical death. Its feathers are ruffled and its beak is open to give it a cartoonish appearance. The ad uses exaggeration to be funny, and it exaggerates the power of the dog's bad breath by saying it killed the bird.
The purpose of the ad is to entertain the viewer to associate DentaStix with positive feelings in their mind. They made the ad funny and lighthearted, so it would make the people who see it happy.
The tone and the purpose are two very big parts of this advertisement.
